A Collaborative Curriculum
While the activities in the curriculum will be built around works from other community-based and youth media projects, I want to leave this page as a working document that is responsive to the community. As interests in this project grows, I will be incorporating the feedback, concerns, and ideas it generates. Though the types of media we will be producing are videos, photography, and creative writing, I am open to including other forms that increase accessibility and participation.
Week 1

What is a “single story” and why is it dangerous? What are some of the “single stories” you have been told of Africa? What are examples of single stories told about rural communities? What are “single stories” someone might have about you? What are those stories excluding?
Practice: Framing the Subject
What are some possible film or photography ideas to show what is missing in those stories?
